Robert H. McCabe Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate Research in Developmental Education

The National Alliance of Community and Technical Colleges (NACTC) has established the Robert H. McCabe Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate Research in Developmental Education to recognize research that assists colleges in developing effective developmental education programs. Established in honor of the late Dr. McCabe, the award carries with it a $1,000 stipend along with travel expenses (up to $1,000) for the recipient to attend the Summer NACTC Conference in Lexington, Kentucky, July 19-20, 2018 and present hir or her research. 

Award Criteria:

  • The research must be able to assist community colleges in developing effective remedial education programs;
  • must be submitted by a graduate student currently enrolled in a public or private college or university; and
  • can include can include any that fulfills the requirements of a course program, including a thesis or dissertation.
