Assistant Professor in Student Affairs and Higher Education (ISU)

The School of Education (SOE) at Iowa State University invites applications for a nine-month appointment as an Assistant Professor, tenure-track, in Higher Education/Student Affairs with a start date of August 16, 2019.

Specifically, we seek a dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic colleague to join our Division of Higher Education. In addition to engaging in scholarly research and serving on master’s and doctoral committees, we seek a colleague who will teach core courses in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Though we are open to various areas of research specialization and methodological approach, we are particularly interested in scholars who have a line of inquiry and/or teaching experience focused on one or more of the following (listed alphabetically): (a) college student access, (b) college student advising and counseling; © equity, inclusion, and social justice, (d) law, policy, and governance or (e) student affairs administration.

Additionally, we are interested in scholars whose research focus and teaching interests cut across multiple institutional types in postsecondary education including community colleges, liberal arts institutions, minority serving institutions, and research universities.
