Assistant Director of Programs, Academic Resource Center (DU)

Assist the Director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in the administration of the Math Study Groups program, including program management, coordination of external relations, and student services. Initial application review will take place by December 14, 2018.

Work Performed

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Math Study Groups Program that includes baseline math courses, mostly in the engineering sequence.
  • Develop and maintain content for the study groups.
  • Train and coordinate work of affiliated staff and student employees.
  • Plan and implement pub publicity/marketing to promote the Program.
  • Update Math Study Groups material on the website.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze all facets of Program budget.
  • Provide individualized instruction inself-regulated learning and academic skills.
  • Represent the Math Study Groups Program throughout University and professional organizations, associations, and committees.
  • Serve on Math Department committees and meet regularly with teaching faculty to coordinate efforts for the study groups and consult on departmental policy.
  • Work closely with other University agencies, including but not limited to the Office of Undergraduate Education, SPIRE Fellows Program, Career Services, and Academic Advising.
  • Participate in ARC staff meetings, case consultations, and other ARC related meetings as needed.
